UPDATE 3 OCTOBER 2003:

When we had done all we could with a 28-HP tractor, Alan and Larry from Alan's Diesel came down with their truck wrecker and two big winches and hauled Seal up the beach, through the woods and into the garden next to the workshop.

the truck wrecker makes its first pull (once ashore, we removed the rudder blade; the chains actually go past the rudder stock and are attached to the front end of the scoot)
