What is an RSS feed?
An RSS feed is a "subscription" to a particular website, usually shown with the RSS icon:
They are used to keep you alerted to website updates, without having to return to the website to check. You can keep track of feeds through a reader (if you want to try a reader, click
and google will take you through the process. You can then add other website subscriptions to it so you only have to visit one page to check if any of your favorite websites have been updated.)
If you're only interested in subscribing to expeditionsail, or you don't want the trouble of visiting a feed reader, you can subscribe via a feed service like www.rssfwd.com. Enter your email address, and they will email you the feeds directly.
We think a feed will work well with our updates, since we are trying hard to keep our email newsletters down to twice a year, but we update our website far more often than that. For example, we hope to provide near daily updates while on our expedition to South Georgia this year, but we'll go mostly silent between charters.
expeditionsail feed:
Since our feed is not automatic, you will only be alerted for major changes in the website, not every little comma. We will put blog updates and charter options openings into the feed, but not small tweaks and changes.
If this is too much information, then please email us to join our mailing list and we'll send you the newsletter of charter offers twice a year.
